Hello! I’m Elizabeth Karvonen. Thank you for being here!

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Visual Arts from the University of Washington. I have a Certificate in Editing from the University of Washington, and am a member of the Northwest Editing Guild and the Editorial Freelancers Association

I set out to be an editor once I realized people were asking me to look over their school projects, résumés, emails (“Does this sound okay?”), and short stories—and I loved it! This is a career that allows me to serve other artists and art scholars, be creative, and continuously hone a skill.

I dreamed of being an Interior Designer while in grade school. I left it for Fine Art, but rediscovered my love for space curation as a Design Consultant for Pottery Barn in Seattle, WA. I believe the best style evolves and is collected over time. It is also my philosophy that everything either be art or function, preferably both! My favorite places to source home furnishings are West Elm, Pottery Barn, Crate & Barrel, World Market, Target, Etsy, Goodwill, Ikea, and Molbak’s.

I am, above all else, an artist. Being an artist is a way of being, and it informs everything I do. I do sell original artwork here, and am always open for oil painting commissions.

Our writing and interiors directly reflect who we are. Allow me to provide direction and edit them for you!
